Clean Energy from Waste Pyrolysis
What is Project FLAMINGO?
- Project Flamingo is a new joint-undertaking between PyrlSys team and the DORY team to create the new generation of waste pyrolysis equipment for global communities
- PyrolSys is a team of seasoned researchers in the domain of ultra-high temperature pyrolization of wastes that converts most kinds of wastes into clean energy without hamful exhausts or toxic by products
- DORY team invented the first IoT connected smart garden products for home and indoor.
- Flamingo 500 will be the first ever mini-szied waste pyrolysis equipment to process all kinds of household wastes at 2000°C; perfectly built for distributed community use across the world.
Serious Social Problems
Flamingo Solution to 5 Key Big Problems
1.Solid waste disposal issues
- Landfill space runing out
- Various pollutions from landfill
2.Energy Generation Pollution
- Most energy sources are still not green
- Unstable electricity from grid
3.Power for Remote Areas
- Lack of power limits growth in remote areas
4.Plastic Recyeling and Pollution
- Additional costs for sorting and recycling plastics
- Plastics polluting lands and water
5.Waste Sortation and Transfer
- Wastes sortation requires disciplines of communities
- Wastes transfer over long distances is costly and polluting
Solution ONE
- Waste volume reduced to 18%
- Converted to biochar fertillzers(rich in potassium & phosphorus)
Solution TWO
- The pyrolysis waste generates clean and renewable electricity at 1:20 energy conversion ratio
- The generated electricity can be supplied to the grild
Solution THREE
- Equipment with small footprint-remote communities use their own wastes to generate electricity and build their own microgrids
Solution FOUR
- Pyrolysis can produce 750 cubic meters of natural gas per 1 ton of plastic, with no pollution emissions, and the remaning solids are biochar that is beneficial to the environment
Solution FIVE
- Small equipment design-for waste processing within the perimeter of each community
Ultra-High Temperature Pyrolysis
The Theory – Ultra-High Temperature Pyrolysis
- The pyrolysis(or devolatilization) process is the thermal decomkposition of materials at elevated temperatures in an anaerobic environment. It involves a rapid change of chemical composition of materials into carbon and hydrocarboin gasses.
- Comples carbon-based molecules are broken down into simple carbon structure under certain temperature and pressure. The gasification process also produces hydrogen and oxygen-based gases(CH4, CO, CO2, etc.).
- The excess carbon atoms, potassium and phosphorus atoms are condensed into a solid biological char.
- Our “Ultra-High Temperature” pyrolysis process is characterized by our ability to create flames over 2000°C while most other pyrolysis equipment can only produce up to 1700°C for processing wastes.
